Server log files
When you visit this site, the web server automatically records the following data in log files:
- IP address of the requesting device
- Date and time of the request
- Name and URL of the page requested
- Browser and operating system used
- Referrer URL (previously visited page)
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest). Processing serves to ensure trouble-free operation of the site and to detect and defend against attacks.
Retention period: Log files are automatically deleted after 14 days.
Aggregate usage counts
In addition, the site counts page views per page and calendar day and the outcomes of contact-form submissions (successful, rejected, failed) as plain totals. No IP address, user agent or other personal data is stored for this purpose; individual visitors cannot be identified.
Retention period: The totals are kept for 90 days and then deleted automatically.
Error diagnostics and usage statistics
To detect errors and to evaluate usage statistically, requests to this site are transmitted to Azure Application Insights. For each request the requested address, time, response duration and HTTP status, browser type and operating system, and the approximate location derived from the IP address (country, region and city) are recorded. The IP address itself is not stored; it is replaced by 0.0.0.0 immediately after geolocation. In the event of errors, technical error messages are logged as well.
The processor is Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd., One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland. Processing takes place in a data centre in the EU under a data-processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in operating the site reliably and securely).
Retention period: The data is kept for 90 days and then deleted automatically.
Cookies
This site uses only strictly necessary cookies. An anti-forgery token is set, which is required for the site to function securely.
Legal basis: § 165 (3) TKG 2021 (strictly necessary cookies). No consent is required, as these cookies serve only the secure operation of the site and have no tracking or profiling purpose.
No analytics, tracking or marketing cookies are used.
Contact form
If you use the contact form on this site, the data you enter (name, email address, subject and message) is transmitted via the server by email. The content of your message is not stored permanently on the server.
Transmission is encrypted (TLS) via an SMTP service. You will receive an automatic confirmation email at the address you provided.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual steps) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering your inquiry).
Retention period: Your data is deleted once your inquiry has been resolved, unless statutory retention obligations require otherwise.
Contact form abuse protection
To prevent spam and automated bulk submissions through the contact form, the number of submissions is limited. For this purpose, your email address, your IP address and the time of submission are stored in a file on the server when a submission is accepted. The content of your message is not stored. The data is not evaluated for any other purpose, in particular not to build usage profiles.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in preventing abuse and spam and in the trouble-free operation of the contact form).
Retention period: Entries expire after one hour and are removed automatically during continued operation.
Hosting
This site is hosted by an external service provider. The hosting provider processes the data listed in the "Server log files" section on behalf of the controller.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest) and Art. 28 GDPR (processing by a data processor).
No disclosure to third parties
Your personal data is not disclosed to third parties unless this is necessary to fulfill a contract or you have given explicit consent. Processing by our processor Microsoft (hosting and error diagnostics) takes place in data centres in the EU within the Microsoft EU Data Boundary; any support access from outside the EU is safeguarded by the EU standard contractual clauses. Beyond that, no data is transferred to third countries.
