> Consulting

Good IT decisions need someone who knows both sides: the business and the technology. I advise companies in Carinthia and across Austria on architecture, technology selection and digitalization — vendor-neutral, with nearly 15 years as a software developer and an eye for what can still be operated later.

Where I can help

  • Analysis of existing systems and processes: where friction, duplicated work and risk arise, and which of it can be fixed at a reasonable cost.
  • Architecture and technology decisions: cloud or own server, buy or build, which platform for which team — with a recommendation you can follow.
  • Accompanying software projects as an independent second opinion: sharpening requirements, evaluating offers, reviewing code and deliveries.
  • Digitalization in the small: spotting recurring manual work and replacing it with automation, interfaces or the right tools.
  • Security and operations considered from the start, so that consulting does not end in a concept nobody can implement.

How I work

It begins with a conversation on site in which I understand your situation and you get a first assessment. Then follows a clearly bounded engagement — a workshop, an analysis with a report or ongoing support — with a fixed scope and a fixed price.

You do not get a slide battle but concrete recommendations with reasoning, effort and order. And because I develop and operate systems myself, I can stay on board for the implementation if you wish. Every recommendation also states what it does not achieve and which alternative I discarded, so you can defend the decision later in front of your team or your management.

Experience

Computer science studies specializing in software development and cybersecurity at AAU Klagenfurt, nearly 15 years of experience in companies and as a freelancer. What I recommend I have usually built and operated myself. So I recommend what has proven itself in operation, not what happens to be fashionable. And where I am unsure, I say so openly.
